Scientific interests:

Synthetic chemistry, extraction of natural compounds, NMR spectroscopy, use of high resolution and ion mobility mass spectrometry in the investigation of small molecules-nucleic acid interaction. Main research topics: Stabilization and structural investigation of the conformational behaviour of G-quadruplexes, chemical probing of nucleic acids, PDE5 inhibition

Professional skills:

Syntetic skills applied to a wide range of reactions and chemical classes of organic compounds, RNA and DNA purification and characterization, enhanced NMR analysis of small molecules, tandem mass spectrometry of small molecules and macromolecules, ion mobility mass spectrometry of macromolecules, ESI-MS binding studies of small molecules to RNA and DNA, native and denaturing gel electrophoresis of nucleic acids, electrochemical evaluation of redox cycles.
